Welcome to the Far North Region of the Queensland Department of Education and Training.

Our purpose is to implement a service stream of education and training which delivers a Service Commitment to students and respond to the needs of population, industries, and communities in Far North Queensland.

Operating in a unique context the Far North Region extends from Cardwell in the South Johnstone area to the tropical islands of the Torres Strait in the North.

From early years, school years and beyond, into vocational and tertiary studies we work to engage every student on a meaningful life pathway across the three operational arms of Education, Early Childhood & Training.
